Ferragudo has a lovely square, with many good fish restaurants. Walking up the narrow cobbled streets up to the church on top of the hill, where the view on Portimao is spectacular.
Silves was a fortified city. During the reign of the Moors from 713 till the middle of the 16th century, Silves was the capital of the Algarve. From the upper part of the town, you can see the red sandstone walls ,and the ruins of the castle of the Moors. Also in Silves is the famous Cathedral Nossa dos Martires, and various museums.
Monchique located on the Monchique Mountain range, which runs from the West to the East of the Algarve, is a typicalCalendar mountain village. The village is well known for the production of olive oil, wool and the drink Medronho.
Lagos and not to mention the beautiful beaches that the central part of the Algarve has to offer.
